On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the International Biennial of Artistic Ceramics of Aveiro 2019, in Portugal, awards her the Honorable Mention for the SONORES project installation she presents.
With the restrictions and inconsistencies caused by the pandemic, she sees several of her projects modified, canceled or postponed. Like for many artists, it is a very difficult time. As a result, one of the projects closest to her heart, the residency she is due to honor in Tallinn, Estonia, has been rescheduled several times. So, no return to the Baltic coast - so dear to her - and no trip to her native country where she has the opportunity to exhibit for the first time, in the frame of the 5th International Textile Art Triennial TexpoART Iasi, Romania.
In 2021, the CODA Museum Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands, chooses the work of Ana Maria Asan to make the poster of its Keramiek Triënnale, but alas! still without the possibility for the artist to see the exhibition or to meet the public and the organizers. And it is the same situation for the IInd Symposium on Mythology 2021 organized by the University of Ardahan in Turkey, in which the artist is selected with the installation Mythical Time - Dialogue With The Ancestors.
On the occasion of the celebration of 500 years since the first circumnavigation, achieved by Magellan and Elcano, the artist directs a short experimental video, Pulsations 2022, which is integrated into the message of peace and fraternity sent to the world by the international community of ceramicists, at the invitation of Alcora la Ilustre Ceramica. Museo Nacional de Ceramica y Artes Suntuarias 'Gonzales Marti' in Valencia, Spain, presents it from September 2022 to February 2023 in the exhibition Travesia infinita.
