During the 5th ICMEA 2016 Symposium which takes place in Fuping and Beijing, China, the artist is awarded the Gold FuLe Prize for her installation belonging to the SONORES project and receives the invitation for an artistic residency at the Fuping Pottery Art Village, Shaanxi.
She is also selected to participate in the 1st International Festival of Contemporary Ceramics in Latvia in 2017, which earns her a visit to the Daugavpils Fortress, which deeply impressed her. Interested in archaeological remains that bear witness to the lives of people and the complex history of the place, the artist wants to return there for a personal artistic project. She gives a lecture at the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center and screens the short film, What You See Is Not What You See, But What You Are, that she has just finished directing.
The work she presents in 2017 at the Riga Porcelain Museum during the 11th International Exhibition of Small Format Porcelain, White Noise, enters the museum's collection. The same year, the acousmatic festival L’Espace du Son in Brussels hosts her happening.
After obtaining a grant in Latvia, the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center invites Asan as artist in residence in July 2018. She stays there longer because her site-specific installations, freshly produced for Nicolas Gate and the Fortress Museum, are at the heart of the reconstruction of the Battle of Dinaburg 1812. Before the residency, her work Il mio laboratorio: contenitori di poesia is selected in Siena, Italy, for the 10th edition of the Premio Antica Arte dei Vasai where she gives also a lecture and screens her film, at the Museo della Contrada del Nicchio. The same year, she receives the Award of Excellence at the ExTempore Festival in Zagreb, Croatia, which schedules the screening of her short film and her conference.
