Ana Maria Asan Textile Art Exhibition Miniartextil Como

Group exhibitions

From 2013 until today, Ana Maria Asan regularly exhibits her work in Europe and Asia, in international events dedicated to contemporary ceramics, contemporary textile art and sound art.

She participates for the first time in an international biennial, in Spain, (which means since then a special link for her with this country), when the Museu de la Ceramica de l'Alcora selects her installation Intrusion. Two years later, the installation There Is No White Noise, Only Colourful Sound is selected by the jury of the prestigious Gyeonggi International Ceramics Biennale in South Korea and receives the Honorable Mention. In the same year, the National Museum of Slovenia, Metelkova, exhibits Intrusion as part of Unicum - Keramika danes. After visiting Ljubljana, the artist falls in love with the Slovenian coast on the Adriatic. This is how the first installation of the Echoes From The Sea series was born, which made her return shortly after for an international exhibition to the beautiful city of Piran.

2016 is an important year for the artist's career, punctuated by various decisive events: the selection of her installation combining ceramics and video, at the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale Concept; the meeting with Professor R. Giovannini at the Yingge Ceramics Museum in New Taipei, who will invite Ana Maria Asan to participate in his traveling exhibition in Italy, Espresso and Cappuccinno Cups, first at the Teatro Masini in Faenza (Argillà 2016), then at Cercolo del design (Torino Design of the City) and MIDeC (Museo Internazionale del Design Ceramico) in 2017, at the Museo della Ceramica di Savona in 2021 and at MART (Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto) in 2022 - to only mention a few.

It was also in 2016 that the artist took part for the first time in the prestigious event of contemporary textile art, Miniartextil, in Como, Italy and, in 2017, at the Beffroi of the town hall of Montrouge, France, as well as at the Cité universitaire internationale, in Paris.
