« I spent the summer of 2019 observing and deploring the harshness of the climate in South of France, when entire rivers disappear leaving instead only death and desolation. With our swimming pools and air conditioning everywhere, we don’t think enough about birds, plants and small creatures for which every drop of water or the slightest shadow means a tiny hope to stay alive till the freshness of the night returns… For this photographic and ephemeral land art project, entitled Torride, I used plants, minerals and animal relics near the Saint Nicolas Bridge on the Gardon River and the Salagou Lake. »
